This course will position students at this juncture between clinical surgery and emerging technology including robotics, artificial intelligence and synthetic biology. The students will be exposed to the scope, applications, and challenges inherent in developing new surgical tools and innovation.

They will hear lectures and participate in technology-assisted surgical simulations with Stanford surgeons and scientists.
