The emulators should have ActiveSync included and be able to sync as far as you get the virtual network config correct which isn't always fun. It might not find anything since iPhones work ok and thus Exchange itself should be ok. THe WP7 device could be both provisionable and non-provisionable depending on what policies you are enforcing on Exchange which shouldn't produce an error like this, but you never know.
You can also pull down the certificate chain with this util so you can see if that looks ok. For GoDaddy it should pull down 3 certs in total.
Thanks Andreas, I will try your utility. The fact that it checks out ok with the Exchange Remote Connectivity Analyzer should indicate that everything is ok. I think the problem may be in IIS. I am getting this entry in the IIS log when I attempt to sync from the phone:. I think the 2 5 at the end of the entry is telling me that the client phone and the IIS cannot agree on an authetication method.
All the Please post the traces after you tried the tool from Andreas. I've just installed Exchange and I am having the same issue. I had the certificate issue, but I installed the certificates through hotmail onto the phone without any problems. My iPhone and browser based OWA work fine. At first every resync prompted with incorrect password. I flushed all the cache out of IE, why I did that was a bit a clutch-at-straw but it seemed to work.
However, it does still, every now and again still prompt but it's far better than before.
