Samsung receiver update
It seems like they created the site, inserted a "test" model aaa and forgot to insert the real production models And the funny thing is that at the electronics shops where we bought the receiver, they know nothing Thanks in advance to the kind soul that will help us to achieve this little big goal. Tech Board. Samsung sound system receiver lowers volume automatically.. Have had it a few months and no problems It is set up on a book shelf. I have a drect TV box on top of it Does it have something to do with over heating? Anyone know? Replies 3. Options Top. You probably shouldn't put anything on top of it, heat needs to vent out. That may or may not be the cause but its worth a try. Replies 0. If you have room, put something under the feet of the TV box to increase air flow.
But like said, best not to put anything on top. I've had a support case running with NAD for the past 8 months thinking the issue was with the receiver.
It can drop it after several hours or it can drop after just 15 minutes or after I've had it on mute, there's no logic behind it. And ARC does not work at all, never have. I have to run an optical cable to get any sound what so ever.
How can it be that Samsung still hasn't addressed this issue and fixed it? Surely they must be able to fix it with a firmware update. NAD has issued several firmware updates during these past months but nothing from Samsung I've had Samsung TVs for the past 13 years.
But this will surely be my last one unless this problem is fixed. I have not resorted to using an optical cable yet as this will lower the advanced features I have paid so much for. I will update the post as I find solutions or more problems. Essentially, I only use the TV as a monitor and do not use any streaming or tuner functions that need to come from the TV. By using a Roku for all streaming services and routing all incoming signals to the receiver, I get perfect sound and perfect picture.
I'm actually much happier since I gave up solving this issue and worked around it. It would be great if Samsung could solve the issue as I would have to turn less things on, but somewhat given up that they care or are even working the issue.
It's not solved it's a work around. The TV should work as advertised not for you to buy additional kit to make it work. This seems a very rare issue so sounds like a fault with TV and if that is the case I do not think there will be any fix from Samsung apart from repair. Have you reported this to your retailer, and requested a fix?
