Fitbit aria software

Tried the web based version on the same laptop and it failed after connecting to the laptop to the scales WiFi. Woud not open the scales served pages.

Finally got it to work with my iPhone. The web based app worked as designed on an iPhone 4S. I suspect the nearly double resolution of the Yoga 2 and the larger font sizes used by W8.

Easy to fix by just allowing the app to be sized. Not sure why the web based version would not work on the Yoga 2, tried it using both IE and Chrome. Both failed. I've gone thru the setup 8 or 10 times. No problem getting the router to recognize the Aria scale. I get a checkmark after weighing on the scale, indicating it has synced. However rather than my initials when I weigh, I get "Guest". I've entered my initials in the setup every time.

I went on fitbit. It shows my initials and the name of the scale "Home". Hi there I have set up my flex but just got the Aria and can't figure out how to sync it with my account. I have tried putting the batteries on ans off. I am in the process of setting up an Aria. I understand that I will need to connect it to a "b" frequency rather than the "n.

Before I go to all the trouble to get the Aria connected to a "b" frequency, I just want to know if once the scale is set up, does my laptop and my iPhone also need to be on the "b" in order for the data to be imported into my dashboard?

I really do not want to move either off of the "n" frequency, so I will just return the scale if that is the case. If anyone out there can let me know, I would be quite grateful. The scale will show the Network name if I power down and back up. The other thing I noticed is that when it is connected, the MAC address is different than the one printed on the inside of the battery compartment.

Any ideas? Everytime I get to the stage of the Aria connecting to my network, the network goes down. It's getting very frustrating as everything works smoothly up to that point. I sent an invite to my wife. She clicked Accept and created an account. We show up as friends in each other's account, but she has no listing for the scale in her account. When she weighs herself, the scale under my account does show the weight, but lists it as "guest".

The drop down list for the user only contains my initials and guest. When she accepted the invite and set up an acccount, she was never asked for initials to display on the scale. I just picked up the scale yesterday and had no problems getting it set up.

Tried to use it this morning and it wouldn't power on. Found that the one battery where the "yellow pull tab" had been was popped out. After a few attempts I gave up and taped it in. Has anyone else experienced this or should I return it? I have tried to set up my new Aria scale via my laptop and keep getting the message "oops So I went in and tried to set up on my Samsung Galaxy 4 phone and, when I go to connect to the Aria internet connection, it says I can't connect because it is not within range.

Anybody have any advice? Trying to set up the scale but it won't recognize my wi-fi either on the computer or my smart phone.

I found the answer somewhere, but can't find it again. However the trick is, when it shows your network on the scales and you want to change the network, it instructs you to 'TAP'. Tapping doesn't work, but a couple of hard pushes with your palm in the bottom corners of the scales does the trick. I have Hughes satillite system only. Very disappointed in this product..

They have lost my support-- I will recommend others to try other vendors. Sorry Fitbit. None worked until I used my wife's Macbook. The downloadable program did not work in any OS either as it executed all the steps except the 3rd and last one reconnect to my home's WiFi.

Now it works fine but getting in touch with fitbit's support was never possible and the root cause is still a mistery. I spent several hours trying to get my Aria set up this morning. After many failed attempts, I selected my home wifi connection on my phone, selected "forget" and connected to Aria wifi. Then it stayed connected to Aria wifi through the rest of the set up and I finally had success.

Of course, when I went to reconnect my phone to my home wi-fi it took some time, because I had told it to "forget" that connection, but it finally worked. Just have an hour available to be on hold.
